Screenprint on cotton fabric

An abstracted image of a Bauhaus studio in Dessau becomes a repeat-pattern for a fabric. Modernity is once again referencing itself and becoming a decorative pattern itself, less is more- more or less? The image of the studio in its own rotation and the color choices of red, black and white also point to the times in which the Bauhaus existed. One might recognizes a swastika within the pattern, the force that closed the Bauhaus but could not stop it.
